How Hotel Tela works
Hotel Tela is a guide made by people who know Tela from the inside: we have been part of tourism on this coast since 1993, and we know many of its hotels and their owners. Here is, with no fine print, how this site works and how it is funded.
How we choose hotels
We write about hotels we know or have been able to check. What we say about each one is our honest opinion: the good, the not-so-good, and who it suits best. No hotel can buy a good review.
How this site is funded
Reading Hotel Tela is free. To cover our costs we use two things:
- Booking links from well-known platforms (such as Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com or Agoda). When you tap the booking button for some hotels, you leave our site and book directly on that platform. If you book, the platform pays us a small commission. You pay exactly the same: the price does not change because you came from here.
- Featured listings. Some hotels may pay for a more complete listing, with a direct WhatsApp or website button. That gives them more space, but it does not change our opinion of them.
Who handles your booking and payment
We do not take bookings or handle your money. You book with the platform or the hotel, and they confirm, charge and manage any change or cancellation. If you have a problem with a booking, contact them: they have your details and can sort it out.
Platform cookies
When you tap a booking button, the destination platform may use cookies to know you came from Hotel Tela. More details in our privacy policy.
Questions?
If something is unclear, or you spot information that is no longer right (a price, a hotel that closed, a phone number), get in touch: we will check it and fix it.
